It's pretty crazy. You essentially see, as you rise through the building, the past of Manhattan unfolding in front of your eyes. As you head up, it actually looks like you're looking out at an elevator that's traveling through time.  From untouched woodlands, to settlers. A scene out of Five Corners, into the building of the World Trade Center.

Yes, they make an appearance.
