The newly constructed Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge will feature a 3.6-mile walking and biking path that will connect Rockland and Westchester Counties. The public can now get a good look at the new project, thanks to a new video preview. The six differently themed viewing platforms will offer a unique perspective of the river.

Parking will be available in both Tarrytown and South Nyack and will connect the two counties for foot traffic and cyclists for the first time. Expected to be completed next year, the 12-foot wide path will feature six scenic overlooks on the northern side of the westbound span.

Acting Executive Director of the New York State Thruway Authority, Matthew Driscoll said 'The Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge will not only improve transportation connectivity in the region, it will maximize public investment. This beautiful crossing will attract visitors, serve commuters and offer new economic opportunities on both sides of the Hudson'.

The paths landing points on either side of the bridge will include parking lots, restrooms and bicycle repair stations along with links to other trail networks.
