3 men from Ulster County were arrested on drug charges and more.

Tuesday, members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (Urgent) allegedly observed a narcotics transaction in the parking lot of a gas station on Lucas Avenue in the Town of Ulster.

Police say as they approached the people involved Jamie T. Marryshow, 31, of Hurley fled on foot. He was captured in the back yard of a nearby residence after a brief chase.

The alleged seller of the narcotics, 31-year-old Michael J. Rich, 31, of Kingston was arrested at the scene. Heroin and a hypodermic needle discarded by Marryshow while fleeing was recovered, authorities say.

Marryshow was charged with tampering with physical evidence, a felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, loitering, and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument, misdemeanors.

Rich was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance, felonies.

Both were arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail. Marryshow in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bond. Rich without bail.

In a separate case, on Wednesday, members of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office pulled over a car driven by 35-year-old Andrew L. Williams, of West Hurley on Route 28 in the Town of Olive. Police allege Williams was in possession of heroin and driving with suspended license.

Williams was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, misdemeanors, and traffic violations.

Williams was arraigned in the Town of Olive Justice Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 secured bond.
