3 Hudson Valley teenagers are accused of posting gang signs on the walls of their prison cells.

The Ulster County Sheriff's Office report the arrest of three inmates incarcerated in the Ulster County Jail.

Carlil Mitchell, 17, 17-year-old Joshua Reyes, both from Poughkeepsie, and a 16 year old male that is eligible for youthful offender status were are charged with criminal mischief and making graffiti, both class A misdemeanors.

Police say on Friday Correctional Staff learned that the three inmates allegedly placed a large amount of gang related graffiti and gang related “tags” on the walls and fixtures in their cells as well as common areas in the Housing unit.

The inmates were arrested and will be delivered to the City of Kingston Court for an arraignment on the charges at a later date.
