311 Return With New Music, Tour Announcement

311 released a brand new song and some tour dates which instantly got me thinking of the last time they played Poughkeepsie. Check out 'Too Much To Think' and let us know what you think. July 11th catch the Unity Tour with openers New Politics at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

The band was last in town in November of 2009 for a show at the Mid Hudson Civic Center. I remember it being a Tuesday night because it was the week of Thanksgiving and visions of turkey legs and mash potatoes were on my mind at the time. And who can forget that? 311 put on a great show to a packed house. I was lucky enough to do stage announcements before they came on. It's always a thrill bringing one of your favorite bands on stage.

Shortly before it was time to head out there, we brought some WRRV contest winners backstage to meet the band. Of course I have since lost the pictures of the other folks in the room at the time, but my blurry photo somehow remains.
