$400 for a cocktail? How about if it was guaranteed to taste 'really good?' There is a place in San Francisco that is going to charge you $400 for a cocktail that has what could be perceived as having just a few simple ingredients.

The drink is called "The Centurion" and it is available at the Larry Flynt's Hustler Club in San Francisco. The two ingredients in the drink are Louis XIII cognac and 150th Anniversary Grand Mariner. This cocktail probably won't be around much longer as Grand Mariner has done away with that particular bottling. There is also a $45 cocktail option at that same bar. It is called the Platinum Blonde. It is made with Patron Platinum, Cointreau, and pineapple juice

Think that "The Centurion" might be the most expensive cocktail ever? No, it isn't. There was an even more expensive drink in San Francisco that is no longer available. It was made at a place called the Smugglers Cove. Is was a Mai Tai that was made using limited edition 50 year old rum from Appleton. They apparently stopped making that because the rum was super limited and no one was ordering the drink.

What is the most expensive cocktail in the Hudson Valley? Have you had it? Was it worth it?
