7 Hudson Valley Schools Among Worst in State for SAT Scores
One Hudson Valley school district had the worst SAT scores in the state. Many others were among the 50 worst.
NYup.com researched data from the New York State Department of Education to find out the 50 schools in "Upstate New York" with the lowest SAT scores in 2017.
Ben Axelson of NYup.com recently told Hudson Valley Post in an email, the website classified upstate as anything north of Rockland County.
With ties, 52 school districts made the list, including seven from the Hudson Valley.

2017 was the first year students took a new version of the SAT. In New York the average total score was 1052, nationally the average score was 1060, according to NYup.com.
