At least 8 brands of dry dog food have been recalled for toxic levels of certain ingredients.

According to CBS, at least 8 brands of dry dog food have been recalled by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) due to toxic levels of Vitamin D. The recall comes after vets received multiple complaints and testing of the products determined there were potentially toxic levels of Vitamin D. The FDA says the only pet products impacted by the recall are the dog food.

These are the current 8 brands that have been affected by the FDA's recall: Nutrisca, Natural Life Pet Products, Sunshine Mills, Inc., ANF, Inc., Lidl (Orlando brand), Kroger, ELM Pet Foods, Inc., and Ahold Delhaize, according to CBS. The FDA urges anyone with the recalled products to stop using them immediately.

Symptoms of too much Vitamin D include vomiting, appetite loss, increased urination, excessive drooling, and weight loss. Symptoms of toxic levels of Vitamin D include kidney failure and death, according to CBS.
