A Beer That Goes Back to the 13th Century

The interesting aspect of beer is the fact that it's been around forever. I mean, basically as long as people have existed, they have found ways to make beer. And in Europe especially, beer is a massive part of tradition, with some of the oldest breweries in the world found on the continent.

Smithwick's is an Irish brewery that's incredibly proud of its history. I'd go into some detail, but I don't have the space in this blog post. Plus, they've done a very intensive recap here on their website if you're interested.

Here's what you need to know about Smithwick's above all: it's delicious. It's nice and smooth, incredibly drinkable, with a little bit of caramel flavor balanced out with very slight hop crispness.
