Looking for something to do this weekend? Spend a day at Sloop Brewing.

Saturday, May 14th the folks over at Sloop Brewing in Elizaville are turning over the grounds for a day filled with beer, music, beer, games, beer, karaoke, brewery tours (a.k.a beer), a bonfire and more!

This incredible event is being held to support an amazing cause, the ferry sloop Woody Guthrie. What is the the Woody Guthrie you ask? Well that's easy, it's a very cool floating educational center that sails the Hudson river. It was creating for the late great Pete Seeger and his wife Toshi.

The boat has been offering free educational sails for almost forty years, and like anything approaching 40 it's in need of some major repairs. Please help support this wonderful cause, keep Woody afloat and enjoy an amazing day in the process.

With your ticket you enjoy unlimited beer tastings with special brews just for the days events, a beer glass for all the tasting you'll do and of course there will be plenty of food, entertainment and more. The event is from 1pm -8pm held at Sloop Brewing (of course) located at 1065 County Route 19 in Elizaville (a beautiful ride if I do say so myself).

Tickets are only $60 for adults (over 21) and $20 for those under 21. You can purchased tickets directly with Sloop Brewing here. All proceeds from the days event will go to the restoration project and will allow Woody and the great work the Seeger's started to continue.
