Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been found guilty of first degree murder.

Jurors in the trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez have found him guilty of first degree murder, which carries a penalty of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

 

Hernandez faced charges of killing Odin Lloyd, the boyfriend of Hernandez's fiancee's sister. He was shot to death in an industrial yard.

The lengthy trial came to an end after testimony from several people, including that of Hernandez's fiancee and New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft.
