I go to the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers a lot. I've written about it here, and here, and here, and here. It's a movie geek's dream, an awesome theater dedicated to the best moviegoing experience possible while also serving up some great food and drinks.

So imagine my excitement when I got an email from the Drafthouse inviting me to join the waitlist for the Alamo SeasonPass Beta. Details are scarce at this point, but it looks like the Alamo's answer to MoviePass - meaning unlimited movies at the theater, with some benefits that MoviePass doesn't provide, like advanced ticket options. This is very much in the testing phase right now, but that test begins right in their Yonkers location.

Now I already have a MoviePass, and it's been great, but it does have its drawbacks. Between this and AMC's recent announcement of a similar program, it's looking like the company faces some stiff competition. The Alamo should be rolling out its beta test around July 18th. Will you be taking part?
