Applebees, IHOP Closing Over 100 Locations

Will the restuarants in the Hudson Valley survive?  

Around 105 to 135 Applebees restaurants, and an estimated 20 to 25 IHOP locations may be on the chopping block, according to DineEquity's second quarter fiscal 2017 report.

At the same time, both chains plan to open 125 restaurants globally between them.

The closures will be determined based off franchise profitibility, operational results, and brand quality standards.

While the list of the Applebees and IHOP locations that will close has not been released, it makes you wonder if any of the Hudson Valley locations will survive.

Applebees saw a 6.2 decline in sales for the second quarter of 2017.
