Video game movies have a way of falling short of expectations when it comes to movie adaptions. I don't care about the nostalgia aspect; don't try and tell me that Super Mario Bro's back in the 90's is still fun to watch. You're lying to yourself and everyone else.

I have some hope for the upcoming Warcraft movie, but I read a review on Kotaku that ripped it apart recently, and their reviews are normally spot on with how I also feel about movies.

I can only hope that Assassin's Creed lives up to it's pedigree. It's one of the greatest game series in the history of gaming, and it's going to take a lot to not somehow seem thin or insubstantial when being compared to the actual game.

Michael Fassbender is a good start, and so far the trailer looks pretty good. But this is just a 120 second clip. There's a lot more to go after that.

And by the way. The music choice? As far as I'm concerned, if that song is in the actual movie, that's a monumental fail. I understand the logic of using Kanye's "I Am A God", but it feels PHENOMENALLY out of place in my opinion. It takes a lot of the authenticity out of the moment.
