Mountain Jam 2016 performers, The Avett Brothers have announce a new studio album to be released just after the festival. Here's the scoop.

The Grammy Award winning folk band will release 'True Sadness' to the general public on June 24th. The album was announced, via a letter written by Seth Avett. He states the new album is a result of 16 years of different experiences as a band. He goes on to mention influences like Queen, Tom Petty, Nine Inch Nails and Pink Floyd.

The Avett Brothers just recently performed at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas and are ramping up activities ahead of the new album's release. In addition to their set at Mountain Jam, the Avett Brothers will be performing at Madison Square Garden on April 8th.

While the new single won't be officially released for a little while, you can check out this fan shot footage of 'Ain't No Man'.
