As a parent, this scares the heck out of me. You have to be so careful with who you choose to look after your kids when you can't.

According to the Daily Freeman, Shannon Conklin of Ellenville was arrested by state police this past Friday and charged with three misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Police told the Daily Freeman, that Conklin was arrested after troopers saw three children “walking down state Route 52 in the village of Ellenville, unsupervised and without any winter clothing on to protect them from the cold.”

An investigation found this woman was supposed to be babysitting the children and allowed them to play outside without proper attire.

Conklin was released from the Ulster County Jail after posting $1,000 bail.
