As if "Interpol" and "Empire of the Sun" had a baby. In the best way possible.

"White Lies" has been around for a little bit, coming out of London, they're described as post punk. Not sure if that's the right fit, but it's not like it's completely out of the realm of post punk. Their releases had been well received in their native land (and Belgium, how random) but it's about time they started getting some recognition elsewhere around the globe.

Their latest single, Take It Out On Me, fits their description perfectly. Channeling a little bit of The Killers, and a little bit of Joy Division. The break down in the middle of the song is terrific, and considering the mood I've been in thanks to "Stranger Things" lately, it's freaking perfect for coming down off that 80's intensive Netflix binge.
