PVRIS is pronounced "Paris", which is what they were once named but had to change their name due to trademark issues.

PVRIS hails from Massachusetts and are currently making a name for themselves after several years of changes in the band. They've been around since 2012 and have been metal-core and lost a few members before getting to where they are now.

They've done their time, they've played the Battle of the Bands for stage time at Warped Tour and opened for bigger acts on large tours.

This band has a serious chance to go places. They've got this crazy awesome sound which is reminiscent of Paramore in their more serious moments, but also like Meg Myers without her scary darker spaces. They're a great balance of instruments, electronic and their lead singer Lyndsey has some killer pipes.

Alternative is really favoring acts with female leads these days, which is awesome. It's a well deserved turn in the music scene, and I think PVRIS can be the next band to really explode onto the scene.

If you need any other indication they're primed to take over the world, they're going to be at MSG in March with Fall Out Boy and AWOLNation.

And check out their cover of Sia's "Chandelier". Because it's phenomenal.
