All it will cost you is $125 and a winning essay. Could this be for real? The current owner of the Center Lovell Inn and Restaurant in Lovell, Maine, is retiring and is willing to hand over the keys to the person(s) who best writes in 200 words "Why I would like to own and operate a country inn." The catch, you have to run it as a bed & breakfast/inn for at least one year and agree to not change the exterior.

The current owner won the property herself, 20 plus years ago after hearing about it on the Phil Donahue Show. Yes, each person who enters does need to pay $125 to enter the contest, if she gets 7500 entries, that's $937500, a bit more than the $900,000 that the home/inn is currently valued at.
