Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz is confirming what a lot of Beastie Boys fans already suspected.  He tells "GQ" the group is officially "done."  Horovitz explains that Adam "MCA" Yauch started the Beasties Boys, and the band isn't something that could continue without him.  Yauch lost his battle with cancer in 2012.  But even though the Beastie Boys won't be making any new music, Horovitz says there is plenty of material in the "vault" that he hopes to share with fans at some point.  Whether or not the fans will want to hear it, well, that is another story.
Are the Beastie Boys done?

"We're done. Oh yeah. Adam Yauch started the band. It's not like a thing where we could continue without him."

Never contemplated it?
