My Beer of the Week for January 27th is one of my all-time favorites, and it's local! Mother's Milk from Keegan Ales in Kingston.

I've had the privilege of brewing with Keegan Ales and I can tell you first hand: not only do the guys there know beer, they love beer. And with a beer like Mother's Milk, it really shows.

It's a milk stout, so it has a little bit lighter body and more sweetness than you might expect if you're someone who doesn't usually like stouts. It's a great example of the style, highlighting the delicious oatmeal and chocolatey notes. Jerry, Elaine, and Kramer once discussed whether or not you can liquefy a cookie:

Well, guess what? Keegan made this happen. It tastes like cookies and milk in beer form. Go get some at Half Time this week with your WRRV growler. You know it's half-price and you know you're going to need some beer for THE BIG FOOTBALL GAME this weekend.  But don't take my word for it, check out a review from Marcus Guiliano up at Aroma Thyme Bistro in Ellenville:
