Everyone loves chocolate and who doesn't want to try the "best in the world?"

Good news is that the newly crowned, best in the world, when it comes to chocolate comes from the Hudson Valley.

According to the Daily Freeman, Fruition Chocolate, located in Shokan in Ulster County has won the “best in competition” prize for milk bar chocolate at the International Chocolate Awards.

Fruition owner and chocolate maker Bryan Graham told the Freeman that he was surprised and humbled by the award.

If you are interested in trying out the best in the world chocolate, there are a bunch of places that carry Fruition Chocolate including in Dutchess County, Ella's Bellas in Beacon, Vassar College Store in Poughkeepsie, blue cashew Kitchen Pharmacy in Rhinebeck. In Ulster County, Tuthilltown Spirits Distillery in Gardiner and Hasbrouck House in Stone Ridge are just a few of the places that carry the best.

If you are interested in checking out the Fruition Chocolate bean to bar facility, they are having their fifth anniversary open house and tasting event on Saturday November 5th, at 3091 State Route 28 in Shokan.
