A creative firefighter rescued six baby ducks that had fallen through a storm drain in Slidell, Louisiana, over the weekend by luring them to safety with the duck ringtone on his iPhone.
Firefighters responded to a call on Oak Tree Drive after a neighbor said she saw ducklings heading down the drain. My sweetie, Firefighter Cody Knecht crawled into the drain and after a few minutes of trying to get the ducks to come to him. Cody got the idea to impersonate their mom using the "quack, quack, quack" ringtone on his iPhone.
It took a total of about an hour and a half to rescue four of the six ducklings, the other two came out of the drain later.
