Yesterday (May 13) in his hometown of Chicago, Billy Corgan and his Smashing Pumpkins bandmate Jeff Schroeder played an intimate acoustic performance Corgan's tea shop and studio, Madame ZuZu's.

Stereogum reports that Corgan dusted off a few cover songs including Bob Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and the Velvet Underground's "Who Loves the Sun." Check out fan-recorded footage above.

Smashing Pumpkins recently finished their "acoustic-electro" tour, In Plainsong, during which Corgan debuted a new song and performed with former Pumpkins guitarist James Iha for the first time in 16 years.
