During an in-depth interview last month, Billy Corgan revealed he’s still hard at work on his memoir, and though it's coming along "slow," it's already shaping up to be more than "a thousand pages" long.

Speaking with author Jennifer Weigel, Corgan offered a few more details on the forthcoming book. The Smashing Pumpkins leader said it will be called God Is Everywhere, From Here to There, which was also the name of a spiritual website the singer used to run. The book will detail the singer’s life and relationships with fellow artists, but he says he’s changed their names -- not for legal reasons but in order to transport readers.

“I mean, yes, the average person will be able to go, ‘Oh, that’s so-and-so,” Corgan told Weigel. “But it’s not meant to be a clever legal device, it’s actually meant to get you out of what you think you know and take you hopefully into the very interpersonal experience of what I experienced. Which, I would argue, is mythology. Most of what I have experienced in my life isn’t real.”
