It’s been a huge turn around season for the Marlboro Iron Dukes. Coming off a perfect season last year, Marlboro started this season off losing 2 of its first three games before rattling off 5 straight wins. The Dukes hosted Highland in the annual Black and Blue bowl and jumped out to a 14-nothing lead before the Huskies got on the board in their bid for a come from behind win. In the final quarter, Isaiah Daubon rushed into the end zone for the Huskies first score of the game. A Marlboro field goal gave the home team a little more separation at 17-7. But when Ray Pacella ran the ball into the end zone from 20 yards out, it pretty much nailed this one shut. Highland score a TD on the last play of the game as Michael Weed hauled in a TD catch and it ends in a 24-13 Marlboro win and the divisional title.
