According to the Hudson Valley News Network, the water main break in the Town of Lloyd was fixed around five o'clock this morning, but residents still need to be on the alert. Vineyard Avenue is open once again and the water pressure in the lines is back to normal, but the Ulster County Department of Health has issued a boil water alert until further notice.

Official's recommend that you need to boil water for 2 minutes then let cool down to use for drinking, cooking, making beverages, or brushing teeth. According to the Hudson Valley News Network article, the water in the Town of Lloyd is safe for doing laundry, washing dishes, and showering.

If boiling that much water seems daunting, bottled water is the way to go. This boil water alert is in effect until further notice as the next testing of the water won't take place until at least this Thursday, November 12.
