This weeks edition of "Brandi's Future Husband" features a guy who is:

  • An Entrepreneur
  • Resourceful
  • (and for once) Lives fairly close
My 'future husband' is trying to raise money for what I am sure is to take me out on a nice date by raising the money online.
His 'big idea' was to sell something that was in unlimited supply that he could readily get his hands on, without having to spend a great deal of money on establishing inventory.

His name is Dan Ozzi, he lives in Williamsburg, and has plenty of access to the local air..But not just any air. It was air from Williamsburg, the hipster neighborhood in Brooklyn. One might say that since he lives there, he has access to an almost unlimited supply of it too and since supply can help you meet demand he is willing to sell you a bag of premium Williamsburg air. Here is what Dan had to say,

"Since my salary as a brandegizing synergist at a boutique marketing firm barely covers the maintenance fees at my loft as is, I decided to sell a few items on eBay—some rare shoegaze vinyl from Record Store Day at Rough Trade, an extra bike seat, an unopened mixology set. But then I thought: What could be cooler than owning a sample of air from the trendiest zip code on the planet?"

He started the bidding at $39.99. You might actually be surprised that a bidding war erupted, driving the price to over $20,100 before eBay's took down the auction and shut down Dan's account.
