Is this it for The Killers? Did Brandon Flowers leave the band forever?

Brandon Flowers is doing a little solo work again.  The Killers lead singer says that he's recording a follow-up to his first solo album, 2010's "Flamingo."  Flowers brought in Haim  and Vampire Weekend producer Ariel Rechtshaid this time, and the Brandon says he's taking him out of his comfort zone.  He admits they butted heads at first, but now they're "hitting it off."  Flowers adds that unlike "Flamingo," the still-in-the-works album is less influenced by his hometown of Las Vegas.  He explains that "there's only a little bit of Vegas in there."  Flowers' new solo effort is expected to hit shelves sometime next year.
