A school bus driver was killed following a collision with a garbage truck in Wallkill Friday morning, according to WABC Eyewitness News.

The crash marked the Hudson Valley's second serious accident in a week involving a school bus. On Wednesday, a school bus overturned in Poughkeepsie with students on board. Eleven people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries in the Poughkeepsie accident.

The bus in Wallkill did not have students aboard when it collided with the garbage truck shortly after 8AM on Friday on State Route 211, WABC Eyewitness News reported. The truck driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to Westchester Medical Center.
