Yes, in my heart, I know that the old incandescent bulbs are super inefficient — only about 10 percent of their energy output is converted into light; the rest is lost to heat.

The initial cost of the new replacement LED bulb is a bit pricey, and supposedly will be worth the investment in the long run, because of "all the money I will be saving" by not having to replace the light bulbs as often....
