Car Soccer is Back in Red Hook This Weekend

The weather is looking just about perfect for this weekend, but even if rain comes our way that wont stop the Car Soccer players out in Red Hook.

We received a message from Wolf listener Josh to let us know that Car Soccer is on for this Saturday April 22nd. Last year we mentioned the event on air and had several people contact us about this year. If you haven't heard of or seen car soccer, here's what to expect:

The group takes some cars, who have seen better days, and proceed to take a giant soccer ball and try to score it passed the goalie, also known as an excavator. If you're looking to watch the game head out to the field in between 12 Camp Lane and Cookingham Lane in Red Hook.The game starts at 10am Saturday morning, but spectators are asked to show up around 9am so parking can flow smoothly. The Red Hook Police department will be on hand directing traffic.
