Two weeks after his death, the toxicology report on Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell has gotten out to the public. In addition to the Ativan that it was known he was taking, he also had several other prescription drugs in his system when he decided to hang himself in a Detroit hotel room.

TMZ received a copy of the report, and the site says that he had “Naloxone (Narcan), Butalbital (sedative), Lorazepam (Ativan), Pseudoephedrine (decongestant) and barbiturates in his system at the time of death.” Based on the amount, it seems that Cornell had taken four Ativan pills. His widow, Vicky, has said from the start that, by the way he was slurring his speech on their last phone call together, that he may have taken “an extra Ativan or two,” which could have impacted his decision.

The Narcan, according to the report, was administered by EMTs attempting to reverse the effect of his overdose, and was also responsible for the four fresh track marks found on his arm by the police.

“Many of us who know Chris well, noticed that he wasn’t himself during his final hours and that something was very off,” Vicky told TMZ. “We have learned from this report that several substances were found in his system. After so many years of sobriety, this moment of terrible judgement seems to have completely impaired and altered his state of mind.”

“Something clearly went terribly wrong and my children and I are heartbroken and are devastated that this moment can never be taken back,” she continued. “We very much appreciate all of the love we have received during this extremely difficult time and are dedicated to helping others in preventing this type of tragedy.”
