Local officials are seeking feedback from the community on a $6.4 million project scheduled to begin on Route 9G in Red Hook. The Daily Freeman reports the job will provide numerous improvements to the corridor, but the Transportation Council is looking to hear from residents in the area before breaking ground.

There are two opportunities to have your voice heard. Wednesday noon-2pm you can join the session at Bard College. Then on Thursday at Tivoli Village Hall at 86 Broadway from 6:30-8:30. Phase one of the project includes improving overall sight lines between 9G and route 78. This portion of the project is anticipated to be completed in year one at a cost of around $800,000.

The job also includes a look at possible reduction of the speed limit in part of the corridor along with additional signage for Bard College. The hope is to add a bicycle/walking path that will link Bard College and Montgomery Place. Additional improvements can be viewed HERE.
