The Hudson Valley has experienced plenty of spring-like days this winter. So, with the first official day of spring coming this Sunday, you'd think we could expect some more sunny and warm weather?

The first day of spring could bring one of the only significant snow events this season, as a front approaches the northeast by Sunday. AccuWeather says that a mix of rain and snow will eventually give way to just snow by Sunday afternoon.

Parts of the Hudson Valley could be looking three to six inches of snow before the storm moves to the east, towards New England. Some parts of the area could receive even more wintery precipitation, spelling for a messy Monday morning commute.

Of course, we've heard scenarios like this all winter and it usually pans out to little to snow at all.

Temperatures at the surface are warm enough that most of the snow should start to melt by Monday, as high's are expected to reach the 40s.
