Cover Band Makes Star Wars Metal

Although they have been around for awhile, Galactic Empire had just done singles videos of Star Wars covers, with them dressed in generic Star Wars-ish costumes. And they were shredding like Qui Gon Jinn taught them.

Well, a few months back they just happened to get signed to Rise Records, and they just released a full album of Star Wars covers, metal style.

And it's GLORIOUS.

I know John Williams is considered a God because of his work on the films score, but there is something that just feels right with the songs as metal. It adds on edge to them, gives them a slight ominousness that I didn't even realize was missing.

I'm going to link a few more tracks below, but if that were the REAL Cantina Band, there would have been a moshpit in Mos Eisley.
