Gary DiMauro Real Estate is listing this Columbia County house, calling it "enigmatic" as well as practical. The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home is constructed in two sections, with one of them "sleeved" into the other.

Designed by acclaimed architect, Adam Dayem, the home is covered in planks of Accoya wood  which have been charred using a Japanese finishing technique called “shou sugi ban.” The effect is supposed to give the home a contemporary look, while still giving the illusion of an old barn.
