The Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union announced that you'll have one less place to do your banking once Spring comes.

The City of Poughkeepsie branch on Market Street will be closing in June, according to a report by The Poughkeepsie Journal. HVFCU members will have to travel to another branch to get their banking done, either on Barnagat Road a few miles down Route 9 or up on the other side of the city at the Arlington branch on 4 Tucker Drive.

A spokesperson for the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union told the Poughkeepsie Journal that the closing was due to "a number of factors" but declined to comment on what those factors were.

The Civic Center Plaza recently saw a new Dunkin Donuts restaurant open up on the Main Street corner. There's no word yet on what type of business may move in to the vacant location after the Credit Union moves out this Spring.
