The film industry in the Hudson Valley has been booming over the past couple of years, but sometimes it's hard to know how you can break into it. If you're looking to spend your life making movies, you may be interested in an all-day film conference at the Culinary Institute of America tomorrow.

Dutchess Tourism Inc. is hosting the conference, which will run from 12:30 PM to 7 PM. They've organized it with the cooperation of the Orange County NY Film Office, Stockade Works, and the Hudson Valley Film Commission. It will include a networking reception, plus sessions and presentations that include topics like industry trends, casting, and other development opportunities.

Speakers include Mary Stuart Masterson (star of Some Kind of WonderfulFried Green Tomatoes, and recently the NBC series Blindspot) and film producer William Horberg (whose credits include The Talented Mr. RipleyMilk, Lars and the Real Girl, and Adventureland).

This seems like a great opportunity for anyone in the Hudson Valley interested in the film industry. Admission is $25 and it will be held in the Marriott Pavilion at the CIA.
