Dutchess County Needs Volunteers For Emergency Preparedness

The Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response has teamed up with Governor Cuomo's office to hold a "Citizens Preparedness Corp Training Program."
The program will be held on Tuesday April 12, 2016, 7PM to 9PM at the Rochdale Fire Department located at 1075 Dutchess Turnpike in Poughkeepsie.

The training session is designed to help average citizens learn what tools and resources that they would need in order to be prepared for any type of disaster with the goal of being able to as quickly as possible return to pre-disaster conditions. The event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required though and can be done at the link below:

Doors to the event will open at 6:30PM with the program beginning promptly at 7PM. Each family that participates in the program will recieve a free Citizens Preparedness Corps Emergency Starter Kit .
