The Dutchess County SPCA is asking for the publics assistance after receiving a huge influx of emergency placements due to Hurricane Matthew.

Natural disasters are often devastating but it's not only people who feel the affects, animals also find themselves lost and without a home. Thankfully there are some great organizations out there making efforts to help these fur friends.

As a partner of the Humane Society of the United States the DCSPCA has opened it's doors to several emergency placements but there is only so much room and supplies. So they are asking for the publics assistance by either donating, adopting or fostering.

Anything and everything can help so please do what you can. If you're interested in fostering or adopting a pet please contact Sherry Taylor at 845-452-7722 ext 411 or sherry.taylor@dcspca.org. Or stop by with your donations, food, toys, beds, blankets or monetary donations are always appreciated.
