It's that time of year: time for the summer ales to come out. And you know we've got a great one for you.

I'm torn on summer beers. Sometimes, they're thin and lacking in body and flavor. Other times? They're great, thirst-quenching beers that are awesome to enjoy outside, at a barbecue, or when watching sports.

This is one of the good ones.

Brooklyn, as you know, makes really phenomenal beer right here in New York. Continuing that trend of bringing you the best fresh, New York beer we can, we had to bring you their Summer Ale. In fact, I'll let them describe it to you themselves:

Brooklyn Summer Ale is a modern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England throughout the 1800's right up until the 1940's. They were also called "luncheon ales" or even "family ales", because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma, resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition.

And the only thing better than a delicious beer? Getting it for half price at Half Time.
