It doesn't need to be explained that the world of baseball has been facing a firestorm of steroid discussion for the better part of a decade. All-time records were potentially affected, Hall of Fame-caliber players might be left out of Cooperstown, and, in some people's eyes, the entire era of baseball at the end of the 20th Century is tainted.

Despite increasing pressure on leagues to crack down on steroids, people are still getting busted; a couple million fantasy football teams were left scrambling yesterday when Broncos receiver--and favorite target of Peyton Manning--Wes Welker (a guy who was previously seen as a "gritty," hard-working type, whatever that's worth) was suspended for the first 4 games of the 2014 season for performance-enhancement.
