St. Patrick's Day is a fun holiday to celebrate in a lot of ways besides drinking. Here is a list of things you can do right here in the Hudson Valley if you're not a big drinker. Hey, if you're not busy you can try to drive all of the snakes out of the Hudson Valley.

Whether you don't drink or maybe you just want to avoid going out St. Patrick's Day there are several ways you can still have a great time. Here are some events or Irish things you can do to get your leprechaun on this weekend.

1. The Wallkill Shamrock Scramble is a 5k race that is happening on March, 18 at 8:00 a.m. It's got different flights for walkers and runners. Don't feel intimidated if you're not a track star.

2. Opposite of the running idea you can always stay home and cook some Irish food. Make yourself some delicious corned beef and cabbage. Or maybe cook some some sausage and potatoes. What would St. Patrick's Day be without some taters? Maybe you can watch My Left Foot or any Liam Neeson movie.

3. If you don't drink but still want to be social and get out you can go out with your friends and be the designated driver. Be the responsible one this weekend and do some babysitting. You're friends will appreciate it. Just make sure your phone is charged so you can record them doing some incriminating things.
