A drunk Hudson Valley man was charged after he was found in a stranger’s backyard.

On Wednesday, Saugerties Police responded to a 911 call for an unwanted man in the backyard of a home on Livingston Street in Saugerties.

Arriving police found 26-year-old Mitchell Kane of Lake Katrine in the caller's backyard. Kane was highly intoxicated and told police he was looking for his friend’s house, but couldn’t remember the address, police say.

Kane was charged with seventh-degree disorderly conduct and released to a family member on an appearance ticket. He is due to appear at the Village of Saugerties Court, to answer the charge, on a later date.

This is another wild story from Saugerties. Recently, 30 were arrested for illegally cooling off, a man pushed an A.C. out of a window and injured a child, Mariah Carey’s sister was arrested for alleged prostitution and a woman was accused of throwing dog poop in a man’s face. All these bizarre stories happened in about the last month, in Saugerties.
