A Dutchess County man is behinds bars following an investigation into drug sales in the local area.

On Friday, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) in conjunction with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit and the NYSP Special Operations Response Team conducted a narcotics investigation which resulted in the execution of a search warrant on Noxon Street in Poughkeepsie.

The search warrant resulted in the arrest of 24-year-old Rahmel Prince Ali Garraway of Poughkeepsie after he was found with over an ounce of cocaine, crack cocaine, various drug paraphernalia, police say.

Garraway was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.

Garraway was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County in lieu of $75,000 bail or 150,000 bond.
