Following 911 calls of erratic driving in Dutchess County, a woman was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and in possession of drugs.

New York State Police from Wappinger arrested 40-year-old Lisa A. Cortina of East Fishkill for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and driving while ability impaired by drugs, felonies and and unlawful possession of marijuana.

On Monday around 8:30 p.m., Dutchess County 911 reported an erratic vehicle complaint. Troopers located the vehicle described by 911 and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Old Hopewell Road and Presidential Way.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Cortina, was discovered to be impaired by drugs at the time of the traffic stop, police say.

As authorities investigated further, they allegedly discovered that Cortina was in possession of several Ziploc bags that contained Oxycodone, Alprazolam and marijuana.

Cortina was charged with Felony DWAI Drugs when a criminal history revealed a previous DWI related conviction from 2009, officials say.

Cortina was arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond. She is scheduled to reappear in the Town of East Fishkill Court on Sept. 22.
