A tragic story unfolded Tuesday evening as a 23-year-old Dutchess County woman, taking pictures while hiking near Kaaterskill Falls, lost her footing and fell to her death. The woman was in an unmarked section of the trail when she slipped and fell over 180 feet, witnesses said.

Her body was recovered Wednesday morning by forest rangers. This marks the second hiking death this summer in the area, as a woman fell in June and later died at Albany Medical Center. Read more at The Daily Freeman.

UPDATE:  The woman has been identified as Ariana Bedka.
