East Fishkill Lane Closures Begin Next Week

Does your normal commute take you through East Fishkill? The Dutchess County Department of Public Works is letting drivers know that there will be some lane closures in the area of Palen Road in East Fishkill starting around April 11, 2016. The reason there will be alternate lane closures and temporary delays for commuters? According to a press release the following will be taking place:

• to install roadside drainage,
• stone scour protection,
• final paving and striping,
• topsoil and seeding for the Bridge E-9 project

During the hours of 8AM to 4PM, there will be alternate lane closures, allowing one lane of the road to be open at all times. During the non-working hours, both lanes will remain open to ease congestion. The expected length of time to complete the project, three weeks.
