“Elf” Recut as a Thriller

Even though it's only been around for 13 years, "Elf" has turned into one of the most popular Christmas movies. A lot like "A Christmas Story" which runs on TN for 24 hours, you can turn on the TV for a month before Christmas and there's a good chance "Elf" is on SOMEWHERE. I'm also not going to say it launched Will Ferrells career, but it sure helped send it into the stratosphere. It's even spawned a Broadway show.

So, of course, someone completely recut the movie trailer and made it into a thriller. And it seems to make just a tiny bit more sense. With some creative editing, some sound effects and using the dialogue already provided by the movie, Cinefix completely turned "Elf" into a movie that you wouldn't see by yourself in a dark theater.

Seriously. Calling him "Buddy the Elf" after seeing that trailer feels......weird.
